                   AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING AN ALLEY
                   LOCATED BETWEEN ROGERS ROAD AND HOWARD CIRCLE,
                   SOUTHEAST OF TALLEY ROAD, MORE PARTICULARLY
                   DESCRIBED HEREIN.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby 
closed
         and abandoned an alley located between Rogers Road and Howard
         Circle, southeast of Talley Road, more particularly described
         herein, and as shown on plat attached hereto and made a part
         hereof by reference:
        
                A 15 foot wide alleyway beginning on the northwest
                line of a 20 foot wide alleyway 147.5 feet
                northeast of the northeast line of Howard Circle
                and extending northwest to the southeast line of
                lot 8, block C, Don Moore's Resubdivision of part
                of Blocks C, D, and E, Montcrest Subdivision, as
                shown by plat of record in plat book 19, page 59,
                ROHC, and said line extending southwestwardly to a
                point in the northeast line of lot 7,
                Re-subdivision of Lots 3-7, Block C, Montcrest, as
                shown by plat of record in plat book 16, page 45,
                ROHC.  Tax Map No. 157B-H-14, 23, and 24.
               
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage as 
provided
         by law.
